Title: Love is… : The Fandom High Tapes
Characters/Pairings: Lots!
Rating: PG
Summary: A documentary on what love is, FH style.
Thanks: To
once_a_king for inspiring some of these. She's responsible for the Barbossa quote.
~~~
Willow Rosenberg: “I’m not sure you can really define love in one word or definition. I can actually think of several moments that I consider a good example to what my relationship with Peter Pevensie is like. Like when he keeps saving me from the frogs. Frogs are really scary and icky, by the way. I don’t get why they had to be included into biology class. I mean, I get it because obviously they’re part of the whole biology thing, but I still would have preferred…”
The camera fades out as Willow continues rambling on about frogs.
*
Rory Gilmore: “Love is falling asleep together. When we got snowed in in his office during the Indoors Snow blizzard in July 2007, I just knew it was meant to be.”
Interviewer: “Do you have anything to add to that, Mister Vader?”
Lord Vader: *breathe*
*
Charles Kawalsky: “Love is getting beat up and thrown into the duck pond by a hot girl.”
*
John Crichton: “It’s being turned into an animal repeatedly, but not giving up because you know you’re getting through to the other person.”
Interviewer looks uncertain at the woman seated next to Crichton.
Rita Skeeter: “You’re not getting through to me. Why did you even drag me to this thing? I have far more important things to do with my time than sit here and talk to one of those camera things.”
*
Ray Kowalsky: “I knew it was special from the first moment I met her. I thought everyone was insane, but when she just picked me up from the ground? That was real.”
*
Barbossa: “Aye. Love be a fine bottle o’ rum and a pretty wench in yer bed. Uh...I be meanin', hi Miho! I'll bring ye pie.”
*
Angel: “It’s finding out after centuries that your thing for blondes is a lot broader than you thought it was.”
*
Jaye Tyler: “Glitter.”
Interviewer: “Can you expand on that a bit? …Are you talking to your purse?”
Jaye Tyler while hissing loudly to her purse: “Shut up! I’m not setting the studio on fire.”
Interviewer: “Did she just…? Let’s just move on to the next interview.”
*
Callisto: “It’s wanting to kill them. Slowly and painfully.”
*
The camera goes back to Willow Rosenberg who is still talking about frogs, so we move right along to the next interview.
*
Alex Krycek: “It’s knowing that you come second to caffeine, but you really don’t mind.”
*
Cameron Mitchell: “Love is standing back and watching other people try to woo her off her feet while you have to wait until you’re old enough to legally date her.”
*
Martin Blank: “It’s letting your muppet chicken go so she can be happy with another blue muppet.”
Interviewer: “We actually meant in regards to your relationship with Miss Angela Chase.”
Martin Blank: “I knew that! It’s… being happy with the girl who makes everyone else around her emo.”
*
Aeryn Sun: “Patience. I didn’t even try to kill him when Skeeter refused to turn him human for a whole month and he started shedding on the couch.”
*
Isabel Evans: “Love is knowing that he’ll always have more hair care products than you.”
*
The camera cuts back to Callisto who is nodding vigorously in agreement with Isabel’s statement.
*
Veronica Mars: “It’s only seeing each other maybe once a year, but somehow it ends up being enough. Even if he insists on buying me presents with a banana on.”
*
The Tick: “Love is like a spoon. With your first bite, it might not feel like love as you’re still hungry, but as the meal of relationships continues you slowly start to fill up and realise that it really is love. That’s how things worked for my housemates V and Lord Vader.”
Interviewer: “Lord Vader? But he is with Rory Gilmore.”
The Tick: “Egads, no! Rory Gilmore once was my trusted sidekick. Lord Vader wouldn’t get involved with a student. Our school upholds the highest standards!”
Interviewer: “But…”
The Tick is already distracted by something shiny and whimsical.
*
Trooper sniffling faintly behind his helmet: “Love is being used to inspect candy and then being left behind to realise that chocolate can be bitter.”
*
Willow Rosenberg finally stops rambling enough to get back onto the subject: “… Anyway. If I have to define love, I’d say it’s Peter.”
